McNeill Associates acquire Navatec.Com and Navatec Voyager McNeill Associates, the systems engineering economics consultancy, has acquired Navatec.Com and Navatec Voyager, for an undisclosed sum. McNeill Associates owns Agence Presse Européenne, one of the fastest growing online news wire and syndication services which also runs online magazines. Brad Taft of Navatec.Com (USA) said,"We welcome this move because we will remain the sole recipients of the output of the Seel-Telesis® the systems engineering development division at SEEL (Systems Engineering Economics Lab). They have developed most of the new Internet techniques and systems we use in our online services." SEEL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McNeill Associates, founded in 1983 and is the world leader in Virtual Client Technology innovations for online services. This move enables McNeill Associates to keep a critical mass of innovative leading edge developers together. The level of integration achieved is unusual. It combines applied research and development in systems with many years in accumulated know how in vertical and horizontal business applications with an emerging line of innovative online business service provisions using Miscrosoft compatible software produced by the group. McNeill Associates believe that this will help the group sustain a firm market value. The Chairman of the Board of McNeill Associates, Hector McNeill welcomed this acquisition saying that, "This move provides us with a bright future. It will ensure continuity of a coordinated systems development supporting a completely new family of Internet products and techniques. In addition Seel-Telesis®: will continue to receive critical market information through Navatec.Com and Navatec Voyager. Seel-Telesis® will keep its unique access to markets for its innovations provided by Navatec.Com and Navatec Voyager." McNeill addded,"Both of these new divisions will operate just as they did when they were independent companies. There will be no management or staff changes and we will continue in the same direction." Iona Ross, who arranged the transfers, stated that the formal transition would take place on 1st June 2006. Seel-Telesis® is a registered trademark of Hector McNeill. |
